What Are Candle Labels?
A candle label is a printed adhesive sticker applied to a candle jar or tin, carrying your brand name, fragrance and net quantity. Candle packaging places demands that ordinary custom stickers are not always designed for — warmth from the container, contact with fragrance oils, and regular handling on a retail shelf. Choosing the right material for your specific product is the most important decision you will take.

For a premium finish, add gold foil, silver foil or spot UV to any material — a good fit for luxury candle labels and festive gifting ranges.

A common starting point is a label covering about 60–70% of the flat front surface, sitting comfortably within that area without wrapping heavily around curved edges. Always measure your actual container before ordering.

Do Candles Need a Warning Label in India?
There are two separate things to consider, and they work differently.
Packaging declarations. Candles sold as pre-packaged retail products in India may need declarations under the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 — typically the manufacturer, packer or importer details, the commodity name, net quantity, MRP inclusive of taxes, and consumer-care information. Exactly what applies depends on your product and packaging.
Fire-safety warnings. ASTM F2058 is a recognised candle fire-safety labelling standard covering warning information placed on candle units of sale. It is a voluntary consensus standard rather than an Indian legal requirement, but many exporters and marketplaces expect it. Confirm with your compliance adviser whether it applies to your target market.
