What Is an Invoice Book?

An invoice book is a bound book of pre-printed forms used to issue a written bill at the point of sale. Each form carries your business name, address, GSTIN and logo, with columns for the item description, quantity, rate and total. It is also called a receipt book or cash memo book.

Invoice Book, Bill Book or Estimate Pad?

These products look similar. The difference is when in the sale you use them.

Choose an invoice book if you issue GST tax invoices with GSTIN and HSN codes. For simple counter billing, a bill book is enough.

Single, Duplicate or Triplicate?

Every invoice book comes in three copy formats. Single copy gives one form per sale with no record left behind. Duplicate (2-part) keeps the second copy bound in the book as your record — the most common choice for Indian businesses. Triplicate (3-part) adds a third copy for your accounts team, standard for wholesalers and transporters filing GST returns from physical bills.

Duplicate and triplicate books are printed on carbonless NCR paper, so your writing transfers straight to the copy underneath with no loose carbon sheet to manage.

What Goes on a GST Tax Invoice?

If your business is GST-registered, we can print the fields a tax invoice needs directly onto your form:

• Customer name, address and GSTIN
• HSN or SAC code, description, quantity and rate
• Taxable value, CGST/SGST or IGST columns
