Spot UV business cards are matte cards with a clear, raised gloss coating applied to selected parts of the design — usually the logo, name or a pattern. The gloss sits on the matte surface, so those areas catch the light and can be felt with a fingertip. Tagsen prints them on 380 GSM velvet-laminated stock at 2 × 3.5 inches (51 × 89 mm), from 50 cards, delivered across India in 4–5 days after artwork approval.

What Is a Spot UV Business Card?

A Spot UV business card has a clear, UV-curable gloss applied to specific areas instead of the whole surface. The coating is cured instantly under ultraviolet light — that is where the name comes from.

Because only chosen areas are coated, one card carries two textures: a soft matte background and glossy, slightly raised highlights. That contrast is what makes the design look three-dimensional.

The same finish is also called spot lamination, spot gloss, raised UV, 3D UV or spot varnish. It is not the same as full UV coating, where the entire card is glossy.

Design Tips for Spot UV Cards

  • Go dark. Spot UV shows best on black, navy or deeply saturated backgrounds.
  • Highlight one or two elements only — glossing everything removes the contrast.
  • Keep text 10 pt or larger, and avoid hairlines under 0.5 pt.
  • Send a print-ready PDF in CMYK at 300 DPI, with a separate SpotUV layer filled in 100% K.

Why Choose Tagsen for Spot UV Printing

  • 380 GSM stock — thicker than the 300–350 GSM typically used for Spot UV cards, so ours hold their shape.
  • Order from just 50 cards — useful when you are testing a new design.
  • Velvet lamination as standard, not a paid upgrade.
  • Free artwork check available before printing.
  • Printed in India, dispatched from Palanpur, Gujarat.

Popular with real estate, salon and spa, automotive, construction and design studios.

50 cards start at ₹760 (₹15.20 per card), single side with square corners. Browse Spot UV designs →
